The Florida National
Guard Foundation is dedicated to supporting the Florida National
Guard in its commitment to the nation, state, and local communities.
The Foundation was founded in 1983 and incorporated as a tax-exempt
public organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
In 2000, the Florida Legislature recognized the Foundation in statute as
the Direct Support Organization of the Florida National Guard.
The Foundation fully supports Florida
National Guard Soldiers, Airmen and their families, as outlined in our
goals: |

the sacrifices of Florida National Guardsmen are properly recognized.

Guard members who are in financial need.

The work of
the Foundation is supported solely by contributions from the National
Guard family, corporations, and private citizens.
Through the generosity of benefactors like the Grand
Haven Friends of the National Guard and Gulf
Atlantic Equipment Company, the Foundation has increased its support
to the Florida National Guard since 9/11.
Every gift, regardless of amount, is acknowledged by personal
letter of appreciation. A
voluntary Board of Directors, selected
by the Adjutant General of Florida meets throughout the year to set and
implement policy. All
administrative costs are borne by the Florida Department of Military
Affairs, so 100% of contributions are spent on support to the Florida
National Guard. Your fully
tax deductible contribution will greatly enhance the lives of Florida
National Guard Soldiers, Airmen and families. |
